sub-ledger posting rules to general ledger in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations one version D365FO This is a key config. in general ledger parameters Following are options Asynchronous : This will transfer source document subledger journal entries to the general ledger after the source document is journalized (posted) into the subledger journal. This option is like the scheduled batch. The source documents are processed, but the ledger itself must be posted by the subledger entries. The difference is that an AOS thread will execute the posting of the subledger entries. This does not allow for control of the execution of posting. Asynchronous posting will effectively transfer the source document subledger journal to the general ledger journal AFTER the source document is journalized into the subledger journal. System controlled time not tightly coupled with transaction posting (good for high volume scenarios and default from one version) Synchronous : This will transfer the source document subledger journal entries to the general ledger immediately. Expecting this to be available for another few months and then be taken away Scheduled batch : This option allows you to transfer the source document subledger journal entries to the general ledger by using a scheduled batch. Good for specific scenarios lie Retail, Expenses, etc. If the transfer mode is set to Scheduled batch, then you need to setup the batch job for Batch transfer for subledger journals. You can find this form by going to General ledger > Periodic > Batch transfer for subledger journals. In this form, you can schedule the transfer of the subledger journal entries to the general ledger, at a different time than when the source document is journalized into the subledger journal. Summarize accounting entries: You can select whether to summarize accounting entries. As pointed out above, you can summarize journal entries across documents of the same type. The journal entries must have the same date, posting type, currency, and ledger accounts for this to work correctly.

Bank prenotes in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations one version D365FO Banks basically use prenotes to verify the accuracy of account data, such as routing numbers and account numbers. A prenote (preauthorization) is a zero dollar transaction created and sent through the ACH network to test the validity of a payor's/payee's bank account information that was provided at the time of enrollment or if subsequently changed. The prenote transaction checks the validity of the bank transit-routing number and the payor's/payee's bank account number. If your money is not there yet maybe you should contact your payroll officer.

Can the user open Table1 with table browser? If not, the view has nothing to do with your issues. Did you check the SystemTable property like I suggested? It's easier to help if you provide the information that we ask :) Why do you have a table called Table1 in your prod system? Sounds quite strange to have such table. What is it used for? I'm just curious about the design decisions.

About BOE Bill of exchange and PN Promissory note in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations one version D365FO BOE (AR) A bill of exchange is a written or electronic order from a customer specifying that another party, usually a bank, should pay a stated amount to the company. When you use a bill of exchange as payment for a sales order invoice or free text invoice, you credit the customer account. That credit is secured by the bill of exchange until the customer pays the bill of exchange to the bank. You typically will settle the invoice with the bill of exchange on the due date. When you receive notification from your bank that the bill of exchange has been honored, you can close the bill of exchange. Used with method of payment and a journal name per stage of BOE (Draw, Remit, Settle, Protest, Redraw) Promissory note (AP) A promissory note is a written agreement in which the maker of the note promises to pay a certain amount at a certain time. When you use promissory notes as payment for vendor invoices , you debit the vendor account. You will typically settle the invoice with the promissory note on the due date. When you receive notification from the bank that the promissory note has been honored, you can close the promissory note. In Microsoft Dynamics AX, you use journals to manage promissory notes.

Sales tax US options in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations one version D365FO Sales tax : responsibility of seller to collect and pay taxes to authorities Sales Tax is defined as a tax on the sale, transfer, or exchange of a taxable item or service. Sales tax generally applies on the sale to the end user or ultimate consumer. Sales tax is generally added to the sales price and is charged to the purchaser. Use tax: responsibility of buyer to pay taxes to authorities (these are not collected by seller) Use tax becomes due after a taxable purchase is made, when sales tax was not paid or was underpaid. The purchaser of the goods or services is responsible for paying use tax. Both are applicable in sales tax regimes. (i.e. (US) sales tax taxation rule enabled) Sales tax would post sales tax receivable transactions on AP side (Vendor invoice,,,) however they are never used in any net off calculation. i.e. no input credit only output tax. All the sales tax payable from various sales invoices are to be paid to the authorities. In countries where VAT is used input credit on tax paid to vendors could be used to net off net tax payable. For VAT i.e. using input tax one needs to turn off (US) sales tax taxation rules.

Fixed asset layers and books in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations one version D365FO Create FA journals in GL (Post fixed asset in G journal names, one per each posting layer Posting layer (on FA group, value model and FA journal) ( Current, Operations, Tax) Depreciation for tax purposes is calculated by current tax rules to achieve the highest possible depreciation before taxes, but depreciation for reporting purposes is calculated according to accounting laws and standards. Current is the default layer. This is used for transactions that are part of the periodic financial reporting. Operations is used for other transactions that are part of the periodic financial reporting for internal purposes. Tax is used for transactions that are not part of the external or internal reporting, but that are for recording special tax transactions, such as tax depreciation for fixed assets. BOOKS (track the financial value of a fixed asset over time) In D365FO Each Book represents an independent financial life cycle, and each fixed asset can have several value models assigned to it. Before you set up Book, you must set up depreciation profiles to assign to the value model.
